A LITTLE BIT ABOUT B.O.W.S., AND OUR GOALS

In both the United States and China, girls rarely receive some of the basic developmental resources that are essential to their health. BOWS offers support and assists in providing some of those needs. It is critical for young women and girls to be self confident, self aware, and knowledgeable about their resources, not just to prevent teen pregnancies, but to allow these women to reach their full potentials, both within themselves and their communities.

BOWS China closed its doors in June 2008, but is still active in the United States. BOWS is currently located in Bryan/College Station, a distant suburb of Houston, Texas. 

B.O.W.S provides support, resources, outreach, and community development to women that are victims of sexual/domestic abuse or violence, depression and eating disorders. 

Our Mission
-To have an open platform aimed at addressing and discussing the issues relevant to the health of young women that are currently overlooked in modern society, despite their vast implications.

-To create a supportive environment that allows young women the opportunity to reach out within their own communities through guided mentoring and group building activities
 
-To ensure that these young women are able to employ their newfound insight, strengthen their self-confidence, and reaffirm their identity in the constantly changing social setting
